A Message About Coronavirus

We at MiniStorage understand the uncertainty that the Coronavirus may be causing. While we continue to monitor this situation closely, we're actively taking steps to make sure we're able to provide you with the service you need. If you are experiencing hardship because of COVID-19, please call your facility manager regarding available options.

Lastly, we understand that these are uncertain times, and events are changing rapidly. While we do our best to communicate the latest news and updates to you, we also invite you to reach out to us if you have any questions.

UPDATE: 6/5/20: New Los  Angeles City Ordinance

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please see the following notice of a new city ordinance concerning Covid-19:

DEFERRAL OF RENT AND OTHER CHARGES DURING COVID-19: As an occupant of storage space at a self-service storage facility in the City of Los Angeles, you may be entitled to certain temporary protections if you are unable to pay rent or other charges for your storage space due to circumstances related to COVID-19. Specifically, an occupant may defer payment of rent or other charges incurred during the COVID-19 local emergency period until three months following the expiration of the emergency declaration, by providing written notice to the owner of the storage facility no later than seven days after the rent or other charges are due. Know your rights by reading Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 49.85.2.

DIFERENCIA DE ALQUILER Y OTROS CARGOS DURANTE COVID-19: Como ocupante del espacio de almacenamiento en una instalación de almacenamiento de autoservicio en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, puede tener derecho a ciertas protecciones temporales si tiene no puede pagar el alquiler u otros cargos por su espacio de almacenamiento debido a circunstancias relacionado con COVID-19. Específicamente, un ocupante puede diferir el pago del alquiler o otros cargos incurridos durante el período de emergencia local COVID-19 hasta las tres meses después de la expiración de la declaración de emergencia, proporcionando notificación por escrito al propietario de la instalación de almacenamiento a más tardar siete días después el alquiler u otros cargos son debidos. We care deeply about the health and safety of our customers and employees. That is why we want to share the steps we are taking at all of our locations throughout Southern California.

We are closely monitoring the current situation with COVID-19 (the coronavirus) and are committed to taking appropriate steps to navigate this challenging time (following the guidelines issued by the CDC).  We are focused on how the coronavirus is impacting our communities and have made changes to our daily procedures.

Our Facilities
When you visit MiniStorage, we strive to maintain our facilities as clean as possible. We believe that Visiting our facilities and having normal access to your belongings should be an easy and convenient experience for you, however we appreciate your understanding in these challenging times.

Please know that cleanliness and sanitization have always been a big part of running a great self storage facility, and we already follow strict guidelines from the CDC and local health departments.

Our Employees
As with much of the advice you have seen from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), we recommend everyone be conscious of this potential health risk and follow official preventative recommendations. We believe the CDC’s website is the best destination for that advice.

In accordance with the CDC’s protocol, we have asked all employees displaying symptoms to avoid coming to work and to stay home until cleared by medical personal.

Our Customers
We kindly request that if you are not feeling well or are displaying symptoms, please reschedule your visit for when you are feeling better for the safety of our team and other customers.

MiniStorage now offers contactless online rentals. To serve essential needs while promoting social distancing, you can now rent storage units without direct contact with others at all of our facilities. We are pleased to offer a way to continue to provide our signature customer service with genuine care while safeguarding health and balancing your needs and the needs of our teammates.

Please also take advantage of our auto-pay feature when paying your monthly rent to avoid any unnecessary visits to our facility.
